IJ Home

Once left at the Convent Orphanage and Home for Abandoned Babies at Victoria Street, these elderly and disabled women continue to be cared for by the IJ Sisters and lay partners at this community home.

As a result of urban development in 1983, Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) at Victoria Street was acquired. This led to the setup of the IJ Home at its current location. For these residents, this is the home they have known all their lives. With no family ties since their families cannot be located over the years, these women continue to live as a supportive community and find strength in their faith.

The Home enables them to establish contact with the wider community through interaction, visits and outings conducted by the staff members and volunteers.

Crisis Shelter
Located within the Home, we provide a temporary shelter for children and youth whose family is in crisis situation by providing them with a safe, secure and supportive environment so that they are able to carry on with their lives and their studies during the crisis period. This service is only open to the children and families we serve and students from the Infant Jesus family of schools in Singapore.
